City to City: Rediscovery, originally scheduled to be perforemd in Feb 2022, has to be cancelled since the overseas artists involved are unable to come to Hong Kong due to current quarantine measures. The good news is, dance theatre The Last Dance, which had to be cancelled last year due to severe pandemic situations, will be staged instead.
A new work by reonwed choreographer Mui Cheuk Yin, The Last Dance is inspired by the popular short story "The Last Night of Madam Chin" by pre-eminent Taiwanese writer Pai Hsien-yung. It's time for Madam Chin to take her final glimpses of her glamorours life and reminisce about her joy and regrets of time past, at the last dance.
