Lady White of West Lake

With the China Merchants Charitable Foundation (CMCF) as Title Sponsor, the Grand Dance Drama Lady White of West Lake was presented at Hong Kong Cultural Centre from 24 to 16 November 2017. Several hundreds of underprivileged students, senior citizens and persons with disabilities were invited to enjoy the matinee performance on 26 November.

 

Mr Wilson Fung, Chairman of HKDC, Mr Li Yingquan, DirectorChina Merchants Charitable Foundation Limited, Mr Li Yadong, Secretary General China Merchants Charitable Foundation Limited, Ms Catherine Yi, Huang Executive Secretary-General, China Merchants Charitable Foundation Limited and many guests of CMCF attended the event. 

Mr Li Yingquan, Director of China Merchants Charitable Foundation Limited, delivered a welcome speech and gave words of encouragement to the students.

At the post-show meet-the-artist session, the creative team told the students how the dance drama was conceptualized and staged. Many students were curious about the creative process and keen on asking questions.     
 

Ms Catherine Huang, Executive Secretary-General of China Merchants Charitable Foundation Limited, took a group photo with Hong Kong Dance Company’s management and dancers after the performance.
 

Many students wrote a review to express their thoughts and feelings about the show.
